27 September – World Tourism Day: Tourism and green investments
This year's World Tourism Day highlights the need for more and better-targeted investments for people, for planet and for prosperity. In 2022, 40% of all tourist overnight stays in Slovenia were generated in 4- and 5-star accommodation establishments.
Every year on 27 September the World Tourism Day raises awareness on the important role of tourism. This year's theme is »Tourism and green investments«, with which the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) wants to highlight the importance of investments and innovative solutions, which enable new opportunities for people, generate sustainable development and prosperity.
