In Slovenia inflation is measured with the consumer price index with which we measure changes in retail prices of goods and services from the point of view of the expenditure structure, which the resident population intends for final consumption at home and abroad.

The festive month attracted the most tourists from Italy
Accommodation establishments recorded about 298,000 tourist arrivals and over 735,000 overnight stays in the last month of 2022. As regards arrivals, December 2022 was similar to December 2021, but there were almost 4% fewer overnight stays. Foreign tourists generated 59% of all overnight stays.

More occasional employees work at the same higher education institution in which they are employed
The number of pedagogical occasional employees at higher education institutions and vocational colleges increased by about 6%. The increase was higher for full- or part-time employed (11%) than for those who were not employed by these institutions (3%).

In December 2022, less net electricity generated than in December 2021

Average earnings higher than earnings for October
Average gross earnings for November were higher than earnings for October, in nominal terms by 10.9% and in real terms by 9.9%. Such an increase was mainly due to higher extra payments (13th month payments and Christmas bonuses).

In 2022, growth of producer prices higher than the year before
In December, producer prices increased by almost a fifth at the annual and by 0.2% at the monthly level. Compared to a year ago, prices increased in nearly all activities.

Supply and use tables for the year 2020
Total supply of goods and services on the Slovenian territory in 2020 reached 93.4% of the 2019 value; the value of domestic production was 95.2% and the value of imports 89.3% of the value in the previous year.
