Agricultural input price indices, September 2025
Agricultural input prices on average the same as in the previous month
Compared to August, agricultural input prices did not change, while year-on-year they were higher. They also increased at the quarterly level.
In September, agricultural input prices remained on average the same as in the previous month. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (input 1) slightly decreased (by 0.1%), while the prices of those contributing to agricultural investment (input 2) went slightly up (by 0.1%).
In the first group (input 1), price decreases were recorded at energy and lubricants (by 0.6%), seeds of crops (by 0.4%), animal feedingstuffs (by 0.2%) and fertilizers (by 0.1%).
In the second group (input 2), the prices of materials were on average higher by 0.1% (transport equipment and tractors, respectively, were on average 0.4% more expensive), while the prices of buildings remained on average the same.
… but higher year-on-year
Agricultural input prices were on average 1.9% higher than a year ago. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture grew by 2.1% and of those contributing to agricultural investment by 1.6%.
Among price increases, the first three places belonged to fertilizers (by 10.0%), plant protection products (by 8.3%) and seeds of crops (by 5.7%).
In the 3rd quarter, prices slightly up
In the third quarter of this year, agricultural input prices were on average 0.1% higher than in the previous quarter, and 1.7% higher than in the same period last year.
Compared to the second quarter, both goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (input 1), as well as goods and services contributing to agricultural investment (input 2) went up by the same percentage (0.1%).
