Construction costs for new residential buildings lower than in the previous quarter
In the third quarter of 2024, construction costs for new residential buildings in Slovenia were lower than in the previous quarter but higher than in the same quarter last year.
Construction costs for new residential buildings decreased …
In the third quarter of this year, construction costs for new residential buildings were 4.8% lower than in the previous quarter. They were 1.5% higher than in the third quarter of 2023 and 3.5% higher than in the first three quarters of 2023.
… as did labour costs
Labour costs for constructing new residential buildings were 9.8% lower than in the previous quarter. Compared to the third quarter of 2023, they increased by 4.3% and compared to the first three quarters of 2023 by 10.5%.
… and construction material costs
Construction material costs decreased again, this time they were 0.5% lower than in the previous quarter. Compared to the third quarter of 2023, they went down by 1.7% and compared to the first three quarters of 2023 by 2.7%.

Construction material costs decreased again, this time they were 0.5% lower than in the previous quarter. Compared to the third quarter of 2023, they went down by 1.7% and compared to the first three quarters of 2023 by 2.7%.
