Producer prices of cereals and milk higher year-on-year
At the annual level, producer prices of agricultural products increased on average by 5.3% and the value of purchased agricultural products by 2.8%.
Producer prices of cereals and milk up
Compared to last October, producer prices of agricultural products went up on average by 5.3%.
The prices of animals and animal products increased by 6.7%. Significantly higher were the prices of animal products, with the milk price up by 12.7%. The prices of animals for slaughter were higher by 3.1%, mostly due to higher cattle prices. On the other hand, the prices of pigs and poultry were lower, both by 6.8%.
The prices of crop products went up by 4.0%. Cereal prices increased by 19.0%, wine prices by 4.3% and vegetable prices by 3.4%. The average potato price was lower by 15.2%.
Values of purchased livestock and milk higher
The value of purchased agricultural products increased at the annual level by 2.8%.
The value of purchase in the group livestock breeding increased by 11.7%. Significantly higher were the values of purchased livestock (by 23.0%) and milk (by 15.9%). The value of purchased poultry and eggs was lower than a year ago.
The value of purchase in the group arable farming was lower by 16.1%. The value of purchased cereals decreased by almost a third due to a smaller quantity of purchased grain maize. The value of purchased potato increased by 8.3%. Compared to last October, a larger quantity was purchased and potato prices went up. Higher were also the values of purchased vegetables and industrial plants.
In the group arable farming the value of purchased products decreased by 1.9%. The value of purchased fruit was higher by 28.6% due to a larger quantity of purchased products. The value of purchased alcoholic beverages went up by 18.8%.
