Value of purchased roundwood a fifth lower at the annual level
In September, the total value of roundwood purchased from private owners went down both at the monthly and at the annual level.

EUR 3.7 million of roundwood was purchased from private owners in September 2024, which was about 2% less than a month before. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs went down by 1%, of pulpwood by about 2% and of wood fuel by about 11%. The value of other industrial roundwood was also lower than a month before.
… and about a fifth lower than a year ago
Compared to last September, the value of roundwood purchased from private owners was about 22% lower. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs went down by almost 12%, of pulpwood by about 47%, of other industrial roundwood by almost 61% and of wood fuel by about 74%.
