Inflation – annual inflation rate

Inflation is a general increase in prices, while the inflation rate shows the percentage increase in prices. In Slovenia inflation is measured with the consumer price index with which we measure changes in retail prices of goods and services from the point of view of the expenditure structure, which the resident population intends for final consumption at home and abroad.

At the annual level, producer prices of agricultural products were on average higher by 8.9%. The value of purchased agricultural products went up by 18.7%.

The value of construction put in place in April was 4.0% higher than in the previous month and 5.9% lower than in the same month a year ago.

Self-sufficiency rates higher in all crop balances compared to the year before last
On average 143 kg of fruit, 113 kg of cereals, 104 kg of vegetables, 91 kg of meat, 78 kg of potatoes, 11 kg of eggs, 6 kg of rice and 1 kg of honey were available last year to a resident of Slovenia for consumption.
