Passenger vehicle traffic up the most on the Gruškovje section
The Lendava counter recorded a tenth more passenger vehicles than in the same period last year. The section with the Ravbarkomanda counter was the busiest with goods traffic as it counted 1.7 million goods vehicles.
The largest growth in the number of passenger vehicles on the section with the Gruškovje counter
Among the selected counters, the motorway section with the Drenov Grič counter near Vrhnika was the busiest with passenger traffic in the second quarter of 2025. It counted 5.3 million passenger vehicles, 4% more than in the same quarter the year before. The fewest passenger vehicles (0.7 million or a tenth more than in the same period last year) were recorded by the Lendava counter. Compared to the same quarter last year, the largest increase in the number of passenger vehicles was recorded on the section with the Gruškovje counter (by 12%), and the largest decrease on the section with the Preloge counter near Slovenska Bistrica (by 6%).
Passenger vehicle traffic during the holidays in the 2nd quarter was the largest on the Drenov Grič motorway section on 8 June, the Whit Sunday holiday. The counter recorded 68,000 passenger vehicles or 19% more than the year before.
Traffic of goods vehicies up the most at the Dekani section
As in the second quarter of last year, the Ravbarkomanda counter recorded the largest number of goods vehicles, 1.7 million or 3% more year-on-year. The least congested section was Gruškovje, where 337,000 goods vehicles were counted, but this was still 7% more than in the same period last year. Goods vehicle traffic increased the most on the Dekani counter section (by 8%), and decreased the most on the Lendava counter section (by a quarter).
The number of light goods vehicles was also the largest on the Ravbarkomanda counter section, 0.8 million or 5% more than in the same period last year, and the smallest on the Lendava counter section, 132,000 or about the same as between April and June last year.
