Agricultural input prices at the monthly level slightly up
Agricultural input prices increased at the monthly level, while at the annual level they were still lower. Compared to October, the highest price increase was recorded in the group of energy and lubricants.
A slight price increase at the monthly level …
Agricultural inputs were on average 0.2% more expensive than in the previous month. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (input 1) went up by 0.4%, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment (input 2) went down by 0.1%.
In the first group (input 1), the prices of energy and lubricants went up by 3.0% and of goods and services for maintenance of materials by 1.6%.
In the second group (input 2), the prices of materials remained the same as in the previous month, while the prices of buildings decreased by 0.2%.
… but still a price decrease year-on-year
Compared to the previous November, agricultural inputs were 0.5% cheaper. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture went down by 1.7%, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment were higher by 1.9%.
The top three price decreases were at fertilizers (down by 9.3%), at energy and lubricants (by 5.4%) and at animal feedingstuffs (by 4.1%).
