More new passenger cars
At the road border crossings there was less traffic, both passenger and goods. At the airport as well as at the port, the number of passengers increased. At the airport also more goods were handled.
Significantly more new passenger cars registered for the first time
In October 2024, almost 10,600 road motor vehicles were registered for the first time in Slovenia, which was 9% more than the year before. Of these, 7,800 passenger cars were registered for the first time, which was also 9% more. Of these, almost 4,500 were new ones, which was 17% more than in October last year.
Less traffic at road border crossings
5.7 million passenger vehicles entered or exited Slovenia via road border crossings, 3% fewer than in the previous October. There were 1.5 million goods vehicles, also 3% fewer.
At the airport more passengers as well as goods
Over 127,000 passengers departed from or arrived at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, which was 7% more than last October. Almost 1,100 tonnes of goods were handled, which was 11% more.
Significantly more passengers in the port of Koper
In October 2024, 320 ships arrived in or departed from Slovenian ports, 1% fewer than in the same month of the previous year, of which 34 ships were for the transport of passengers. 25,290 passengers were counted, 17% more. 1.8 million tonnes of goods were handled in the port of Koper, which was 4% less than in the same month last year.
