Higher value of purchased roundwood in October

Compared with September, the total value of roundwood purchased from private forests was higher by 10.4%, and year-on-year by 56.4%.

Roundwood purchase value higher year-on-year …

Year-on-year, the total value of roundwood purchased from private forests increased by 56.4%, of which the value of pulpwood by 18.7%, of sawlogs and veneer logs by 60.8%, and of fuelwood by 86.1%. On the other hand, the value of other industrial roundwood decreased by just over a quarter (25.6%).

… as well as month-on-month

Compared with September, the total purchase value grew by 10.4%. The increase was the largest in fuelwood (by 67.4%), mainly due to higher purchase volume (58.6%). On the other hand, the value of industrial roundwood was over a third (35.5%) lower than in the previous month.
