Earnings of persons in paid employment by registered natural persons, August 2025
Average gross earnings at registered natural persons slightly decreased in nominal and real terms
Compared to earnings for July, average gross earnings for August 2025 were slightly lower in both nominal and real terms. On the other hand, they increased year-on-year.

Average gross earnings of persons in paid employment by registered natural persons for August of this year amounted to EUR 1,564.76. In nominal and in real terms they were 0.8% lower than earnings for July. Net earnings decreased by the same percentage and amounted to EUR 1,027.98.
Compared to August last year, gross earnings increased on average in nominal terms by 4.9% and in real terms by 1.8%.
The highest monthly growth in accommodation and food service activities
On average, the highest earnings for August were paid to employees in human health and social work activities (EUR 2,076.63 gross and EUR 1,339.60 net), followed by mining and quarrying. The lowest earnings were received in arts, entertainment and recreation (EUR 1,214.51 gross and EUR 807.13 net).
Compared to July, the highest growth of average gross earnings was recorded in accommodation and food service activities (by 1.6%).

When calculating the growth rates of average gross and net earnings, data on average earnings from the REK-O form are used as the basis for the comparison for the period from January 2024 on.
Data are not seasonally and calendar adjusted.
During the transition period after SKD 2025 (NACE Rev. 2.1) entering into force, statistical data will still be collected and published according to SKD 2008 (NACE Rev. 2). The transition periods will vary depending on the individual surveys.
