Disposable income per capita in Osrednjeslovenska almost 15% higher than in Pomurska

Disposable income per capita increased in all statistical regions, the most in Posavska (by 7.3%), followed by Primorsko-notranjska (by 5.8%) and Goriška (by 5.4%).

Disposable income per capita the highest in Osrednjeslovenska

In 2024, disposable income per capita in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region amounted to EUR 17,696 and exceeded the national average (EUR 17,066) by 3.7%. The lowest disposable income per capita was recorded in Pomurska, EUR 15,448 or 9.5% below the national average. The highest disposable income thus exceeded the lowest by 14.6%.

At the national level, disposable income per capita went up by 3.9%. It increased in all statistical regions – the least in Podravska (by 1.1%) and the most in Posavska (by 7.3%), followed by Primorsko-Notranjska (by 5.8%) and Goriška (by 5.4%).



Regional differences in the last ten years stable

Disposable income per capita in statistical regions, weighted by the number of residents per region, differed on average by 3.3% from the national average. Regional disparities increased by 0.4 of a percentage point at the annual level.

Differences in disposable income per capita in statistical regions did not change significantly in the last ten years and stayed in the range between 2.1% and 3.4%.

Share of disposable income in primary income of households below the national average in four statistical regions

In terms of the share of disposable income in primary household income, the same statistical regions as the year before – Osrednjeslovenska (81.7%), Gorenjska (85.6%), Primorsko-notranjska (85.8%) and Jugovzhodna Slovenija (86.1%) – were below the national average of 86.5%.

According to this indicator, the regions that are below the average are typically those where primary income is above the national average. Residents of these regions generate relatively more primary income (income from work and capital), while disposable income decreases relatively in the process of redistribution.
