METHODOLOGICAL NOTE
1 Operations involving processing include modification, making, composition, improvement and renovation with the aim to produce new or significantly improved products.
2Due to certain quasi-export transactions detected in advance in the data on trade in goods with EU Member States from April on, we excluded them from the published import data. As a result, the decrease in imports from EU Member States is greater than would otherwise have been (by less than 2%), and at the cumulative level there would be approximately 4% growth if these transactions were included in the data.
Quasi-exports are imports of goods from EU Member States with the purpose of their subsequent export to EU non-member countries by a "non-resident" foreign company.
Monthly data for 2025 are provisional. With each release the data can be corrected and completed with new data. Final data for 2025 will be published in June 2026.
Additional explanations are provided in the methodological explanations.
During the transition period after SKD 2025 (NACE Rev. 2.1) entering into force, statistical data will still be collected and published according to SKD 2008 (NACE Rev. 2). The transition periods will vary depending on the individual surveys.
