Milk price at producers higher year-on-year
At the annual level, producer prices of agricultural products increased on average by 4.3%, while the value of purchased agricultural products went down by 1.2%.

Compared to December 2023, producer prices of agricultural products increased on average by 4.3%.
The prices of animals and animal products were higher by 6.3%. The prices of animal products went up by 8.2%. The greatest increase was recorded in milk price (by 9.9%). The prices of animals for slaughter went up by 4.6%. The increase was caused by higher prices of cattle, while the pig and poultry prices were lower.
The prices of crop products went up by 0.4%. Cereal prices increased by a quarter and wine prices by 15.9%. Also higher were the prices of fruit and potato. On the other hand, vegetable prices were lower than a year ago.

In the fourth quarter last year, the prices of agricultural products increased on average by 4.6%.
The prices of animals and animal products were higher by 6.6%. Milk price increased by 11.3% and cattle prices by 13.1%. On the other hand, the prices of poultry and pigs decreased.
The prices of crop products went up by 2.2%. The increase was mostly caused by higher prices of cereals (by 20.3%) and wine (by 11.4%).
Value of purchased agricultural products lower year-on-year
In December, the value of purchased agricultural products decreased at the annual level by 1.2%.
In the group arable farming, the value of purchase was lower by a third. The value of purchased cereals went down by 41.3% and of potato by 33.8%. The decrease was caused mostly by lower quantity of purchased products. As regards vegetables, the value of purchase increased by almost a half.
The value of purchase in the group fruit and wine growing decreased by almost a third (31.0%). The value of purchased alcoholic beverages was lower by 29.8%. On the other hand, the value of purchased fruit was higher by 22.2%.
The value of purchase in the group livestock breeding increased by 8.2%. The value of purchased milk went up by 14.7% and of livestock by 11.0%, while the value of purchased eggs was down by 15.3%.
