Economic sentiment slightly better than last month

The sentiment indicator was 0.2 of a percentage point higher at the monthly level and 2.5 percentage points higher at the annual level.

Slightly improvement at the monthly level …

The sentiment indicator was at −0.8 percentage points (p.p.), 0.2 p.p. higher than in October (−1.0 p.p.).

The growth was driven by higher confidence among consumers (by 0.4 p.p.), in manufacturing (also by 0.4 p.p.) and in construction (by 0.2 p.p.). Only the indicator in services deteriorated (by 0.7 p.p.), while the indicator in retail trade had no impact.

… and more significant year-on-year

Compared to November of last year, the sentiment indicator was higher by 2.5 p.p.

Three out of five confidence indicators had a positive impact on the change: in manufacturing (by 1.6 p.p.), among consumers (by 1.3 p.p.) and in construction (by 0.2 p.p.). The indicators in retail trade (by 0.4 p.p.) and services (by 0.1 p.p.) had a negative impact.
