Economic sentiment up
Economic sentiment improved for the third consecutive month. Only services had a negative influence at the monthly level.
Up at the monthly level
The sentiment indicator was at −1.6 percentage points (p.p.), 0.8 p.p. higher than in August (−2.4 p.p.).
It was positively influenced by four out of five indicators: in construction (by 0.4 p.p.), among consumers, in retail trade and in manufacturing (by 0.3 p.p. each). Only the services confidence indicator had a negative impact (by 0.5 p.p.).
Improvement also year-on-year
Compared to September of last year, the sentiment indicator was higher by 0.7 p.p.
The improvement of the indicator was influenced by three out of five indicators: in manufacturing (by 0.8 p.p.), among consumers (by 0.7 p.p.) and in construction (by 0.4 p.p.). On the other hand, lower values of confidence indicators in services and retail trade (by 0.9 and 0.2 p.p., respectively) had a negative impact.
