Agricultural input prices at the monthly level slightly down again
Agricultural input prices decreased at the monthly and annual level. In a monthly comparison, the highest price decrease was recorded in the group of energy and lubricants.
A slight price decrease at the monthly level …
Agricultural inputs were on average 0.4% cheaper than in the previous month. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (input 1) went down by 0.7%, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment (input 2) went up by 0.1%.
In the first group (input 1), lower prices were recorded at energy and lubricants (by 3.1%) and at fertilizers and at maintenance of buildings (by 0.6% each).
In the second group (input 2), the prices of materials remained the same as in the previous month, while the prices of buildings increased by 0.4%.
… and a larger one at the annual level
In one year, agricultural inputs were 3.2% cheaper. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture were 5.5% lower, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment were 1.9% higher.
At the annual level, the prices of animal feedingstuffs decreased the most (by 13.5%), followed by energy and lubricants (by 10.2%) and by fertilizers (by 8.1%).
