Exports and imports of goods, October 2024
Trade in goods in the first ten months larger than in the same period last year
At the annual level and the level of the first ten months, the value of external trade in goods grew, more significantly in imports, mainly due to increased value of operations involving processing in trade with EU non-member countries.

At the annual level exports with EU Member States up and imports down
In the observed month, both values of trade in goods with EU Member States amounted to EUR 2.7 billion. Compared to the previous October, exports increased by 1.2%, while imports decreased by 2.7%.
Slovenia's most important trading partners in external trade in goods with EU Member States were Germany and Italy.
External trade in goods up at the level of the first tenth months
From January to October, exports amounted to EUR 51.3 billion or 11.7% more than in the same period of last year and imports to EUR 57.6 billion or 20.6% more. Exports and imports from EU non-member countries increased the most in terms of value, namely by 25.1% and 46.1%, respectively.
External trade deficit amounted to EUR 6.3 billion in the observed period, while the export-import ratio was 89.1%.

Exports (EUR 5.8 billion):
- Value up by 17.9%.
- Trade with EU non-member countries increased by 38.3% and with EU Member States by 1.2%. To EU non-member countries, without operations involving processing1, it amounted to EUR 917.5 million and was higher by 10.3%.
- Value up by 81.4%.
- From EU Member States down by 2.7% and in trade with EU non-member countries up significantly, by 193.6%, due to the high value of operations involving processing. Without operations involving processing1, the value of imports from the latter decreased by 1.0% to EUR 759.4 million.
In the observed month, both values of trade in goods with EU Member States amounted to EUR 2.7 billion. Compared to the previous October, exports increased by 1.2%, while imports decreased by 2.7%.
