The value of industrial production in the first three quarters lower at the annual level
The values of industrial production and stocks in industry increased over the month before, while the value of turnover in industry decreased.
Industrial production up at the monthly level, slightly down at the annual level
In September, the total value of industrial production was 1.7% higher than in the previous month. In mining and quarrying it was up by 3.7% and in manufacturing by 2.5%, while in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it was down by 3.3%.
At the monthly level, the value of industrial production increased in consumer goods industries (by 4.5%), in capital goods industries (by 0.4%) and in intermediate goods industries (by 0.3%).
Compared to September last year, the total value of industrial production decreased by 0.4%. It was higher in mining and quarrying (by 10.6%) and in manufacturing (by 2.2%), but lower in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (by 17.5%).
In the first three quarters, the value of industrial production decreased by 1.8% over the same period last year.
Turnover in industry up annually
Total turnover in industry was 0.7% lower at the monthly level. Turnover in manufacturing decreased by 0.6%, but increased in mining and quarrying by 1.1%. In the non-domestic market it went down by 1.1% and in the domestic market by 1.0%.
At the annual level, total turnover in industry was up by 3.2%. It was higher in mining and quarrying, and in manufacturing.
The value of stocks up
The value of stocks in industrial production was 1.2% higher than in the previous month and 8.1% higher than a year ago.

The value of stocks in industrial production was 1.2% higher than in the previous month and 8.1% higher than a year ago.
