Agricultural input prices at the monthly level slightly up again
Agricultural inputs were again more expensive at the monthly level, while at the annual level they were still cheaper. In a monthly comparison, the highest price increase was recorded in the group of energy and lubricants.
Prices slightly higher than in the previous month …
Agricultural input prices increased on average by 0.4%. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (input 1) went up by 0.6% and the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment (input 2) by 0.1%.
In the first group (input 1), the price increases were recorded at energy and lubricants (by 3.1%), while at animal feedingstuffs and at group other goods and services they were higher by 0.2% each.
In the second group (input 2), the prices of materials remained the same as in the previous month, while the prices of buildings were higher by 0.5%.
… and lower than a year ago
Compared to last August, agricultural inputs were 3.3% cheaper. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture were 6.0% lower, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment were higher by 3.0%.
The top three price decreases were at fertilizers (down by 16.5%), animal feedingstuffs (by 15.7%) and energy and lubricants (by 2.4%).
