Roundwood exports were almost the same as a year before, while imports decreased by about a fifth.

In 2023, 1.37 million cubic metres of roundwood were exported or almost 2% less than a year earlier. In the group of industrial roundwood, the export of coniferous wood went up by 14%, and of non-coniferous wood down by almost 15%. The export of wood fuel was also lower than a year before (by about 4%).
… imports down
About 0.63 million cubic metres of roundwood were imported or almost 20% less than a year earlier. The import of industrial roundwood decreased by about 23% in total, of which the import of coniferous industrial roundwood went down by about 25% and of non-coniferous industrial roundwood by about 14%. Wood fuel imports were also lower, namely by about 5%.
