Agricultural input prices slightly up in April, too
Agricultural input prices went up for the fourth consecutive month, this time on average by 0.2%. At the monthly level, the prices in the group maintenance of buildings increased the most.
Prices slightly up at the monthly level …
Agricultural input prices increased on average by 0.2%. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (input 1) went up by 0.1% and the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment (input 2) by 0.6%.
In the first group (input 1), the prices increased the most in the group maintenance of buildings (by 1.0%), and the least in the group other goods and services (by 0.4%).
Only the prices of fertilizers and of animal feedingstuffs went down (by 1.5% and by 0.2%, respectively).
In the second group (input 2), the prices of materials increased on average by 0.5% (higher prices of tractors) and of buildings by 0.8%.
… but still lower at the annual level
Compared to April 2023, agricultural input prices went down by 5.2%. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture were 8.4% lower, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment were 2.5% higher.
Fertilizers were cheaper by 29.7% and animal feedingstuffs by 19.6%.
