Agricultural input prices higher
Agricultural input prices were slightly higher than in the previous month, while at the annual level they were higher by 15.0%. Prices went up in the majority of groups.
In the first month of the year, prices increased on average by 0.2%. While the prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture went down on average by 0.5%, the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment were up by 2.1%.
Among goods and services currently consumed in agriculture, the highest price increases were recorded at veterinary expenses (by 5.5%) and at goods and services for maintenance of buildings (by 5.0%), while among goods and services contributing to agricultural investment only the prices of materials increased (by 2.9%).
Within materials, the prices of machinery and other equipment went up on average by 5.5%, while the prices of transport equipment remained the same as in December.

Compared to January 2022, the agricultural input prices were higher on average by 15.0%. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture increased by 17.3% and of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment by 9.7%.
The highest price increases were recorded at animal feedingstuffs (by 30.1%), maintenance of buildings (by 24.3%) and fertilizers (by 17.1%).
