In 2019, average net income per capita the highest in Trzin and the lowest in Kuzma

In 2019, gross and net income received by the population was the highest in Trzin and Šmarješke Toplice and the lowest in Kuzma and Hodoš. Average income by statistical regions was the highest in Osrednjeslovenska and the lowest in Pomurska. At the level of Slovenia it increased from 6.2% to 7.2%.

Income of the population on average higher

Average annual gross income per capita in Slovenia in 2019 was EUR 13,298 and average annual net income per capita was EUR 10,252. The former increased by EUR 836 compared to the previous year and the latter by EUR 686.

At the national level, income of the population (average gross and net income per capita and per income recipient, median gross and net income of the population and of the income recipients) increased in 2019 in nominal terms between 6.2% (median gross income of the population) and 7.2% (average net income per capita) and in real terms between 4.5% and 5.5%.

Income of the population the highest in Osrednjeslovenska and the lowest in Pomurska

Average gross and net income per capita and per income recipient as well as median gross and net income of the population and of the income recipients by statistical regions were the lowest in the Pomurska statistical region and the highest in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region. 



As regards statistical regions, in 2019, the highest (in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region) average net income per capita was 9% higher than the national average and the lowest (in the Pomurska statistical region) was 15% lower than the national average. As regards average net income per income recipient, the difference was slightly smaller: the highest was 10% higher than the national average and the lowest was 14% lower than the national average. 

Highest income in municipalities Trzin and Šmarješke Toplice, lowest in Kuzma and Hodoš

In 2019, average net (EUR 13,069) and gross income per capita, average net and gross income per income recipient and median net income of the population were the highest in municipality Trzin. Median net and gross income of the income recipients and median gross income of the population were the highest in municipality Šmarješke Toplice.

In 2019, average gross income per income recipient was the lowest in municipality Hodoš, while all other values were the lowest in Kuzma: average net (EUR 5,936) and gross income per capita, median net and gross income of the population, average net income per income recipient and median net and gross income of the income recipients. 

In 2019, average net income per capita was the highest in municipalities Trzin, Šmarješke Toplice, Rečica ob Savinji, Mežica, Kranjska Gora, Log-Dragomer, Ankaran, Ljubljana, Škofljica and Vodice, and the lowest in municipalities Kuzma, Rogašovci, Grad, Apače, Hodoš, Sveta Ana, Solčava, Osilnica, Cankova and Cerkvenjak.



In 2019, the highest average net income per capita by municipalities was 27% higher than the national average, while the lowest was 42% lower than the national average. It was higher than the national average in 55 municipalities. As regards average net income per income recipient, the difference was smaller: the highest was 29% higher and the lowest 28% lower than the national average. It was higher than the national average in 57 municipalities.
