Average earnings for April 2021 lower than earnings for March 2021
Average gross earnings for April 2021 amounted to EUR 1,994.67. Compared to gross earnings for March 2021, they were lower in nominal terms by 0.7% and in real terms by 1.7%. Average net earnings for April 2021 amounted to EUR 1,278.89 and were lower than net earnings for March 2021, in nominal terms by 0.9% and in real terms by 1.9%.

Average earnings for April 2021 in the private sector lower, in the public sector higher than earnings for March 2021 
Compared to earnings for March 2021, in the private sector average gross earnings for April 2021 decreased by 1.8%, while in the public sector they increased by 1.0% (in the institutional sector general government they increased by 2.3%).

Average earnings for April 2021 the highest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply 
Compared to earnings for March 2021, average gross earnings for April 2021 decreased the most in financial and insurance activities (by 17.5%; mainly due to lower extra payments) and increased the most in public administration and defence, compulsory social security (by 4.8%). 

The highest average gross earnings for April 2021 were paid in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (EUR 2,917.48).

Average earnings for April 2021 higher than the national average only in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
Average gross earnings for April 2021 were higher than the national average (by 10.6%) only in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region; they amounted to EUR 2,205.37. On the other hand, the lowest average gross earnings for April 2021 were paid in the Primorsko-notranjska statistical region (EUR 1,730.62).
