In December 2020, 47% fewer first registrations of new passenger cars than in December 2019
In December 2020, compared to December 2019, port and airport goods traffic recorded an increase, namely by 20% and 11%, respectively.
92% fewer passengers carried in urban public scheduled transport than in December 2019
Buses in urban scheduled transport carried about 418,000 passengers in December 2020, which is 92% fewer than in December 2019.
About 231,000 passengers were carried by buses in interurban and international public scheduled transport, which is 91% fewer than in December 2019. About 3.6 million passenger-kilometres were performed by buses, which is 92% fewer than in December 2019.
In airport traffic 11% more goods handled than in December 2019
In December 2020, about 5,400 passengers travelled through Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, 94% fewer than in December 2019.
In airport goods traffic over 1,100 tonnes were handled, which is 11% more than in December 2019.
In port traffic a fifth more goods handled than in December 2019
In December 2020, 98% fewer passengers were recorded in Slovenian ports compared to December 2019.
In the Port of Koper about 1.5 million tonnes of goods were handled in December 2020, which is 20% more than in December 2019.
47% fewer new passenger cars registered for the first time in Slovenia than in December 2019
In December 2020, about 5,400 road motor vehicles were registered for the first time in Slovenia, about 38% fewer than in December 2019. Almost 3,800 passenger cars were registered for the first time, 46% fewer than in December 2019. Of these, about 2,300 were first registrations of new passenger cars, 47% fewer than in December 2019.

3) The data on passengers and passenger-km in public scheduled transport and data on passengers in urban scheduled transport from September 2016 on have been partly estimated due to the introduction of a new integrated public transport system (IJPP) and the new system of subsidised tickets for public transport (the estimates were prepared by the Ministry of Infrastructure).
Data on road public scheduled transport for the last 12 months are provisional. With each release the data for the last 12 months can be corrected and supplemented with new data.
Port traffic data for the current year are provisional. The final data will be published at the end of July, with an annual release.
Data on port traffic published by SURS may differ from the data published by ports in their reports. The differences are due to the use of different methodologies (different data sources, tare consideration, etc.).
