Economic sentiment worsened in November 2020
In November 2020, the sentiment indicator was 6.8 p.p. lower at the monthly level and 16.0 p.p. lower at the annual level.
The sentiment indicator lower for the second time in a row
In November 2020, the value of the sentiment indicator (at -13.8 percentage points – p.p.) decreased by 6.8 p.p. compared to October 2020 (at -7.0 p.p.).
The monthly decrease was influenced by all confidence indicators: in services (by 4.0 p.p.), among consumers (by 1.1 p.p.), in manufacturing (by 0.8 p.p.), in retail trade (by 0.6 p.p.) and in construction (by 0.2 p.p.).
Significant deterioration at the annual level
In November 2020, the value of the sentiment indicator decreased by 16.0 p.p. over November 2019.
The confidence indicator in services had the greatest impact (by 10.9 p.p.) on the deterioration of the sentiment indicator at the annual level. The confidence indicators among consumers (by 4.4 p.p.), in retail trade (by 0.9 p.p.) and in construction (by 0.6 p.p.) also had a negative impact. The manufacturing confidence indicator had a positive impact (by 0.7 p.p.).
