In October 2020, 19% more building permits issued, 44% more dwellings planned than in September 2020
Compared to the previous month, in October 2020, 6% more permits were issued for residential buildings and 28% more for non-residential buildings. Due to several planned constructions of two- and more residential buildings, 44% more dwellings were planned in October than in September.
The total floor area of planned buildings larger than in September
The total floor area of all buildings planned in October 2020 was a little less than 183,000 m2, which is 27% larger than in September 2020. The planned floor area of residential buildings was 41% larger and of non-residential buildings 16% larger than in the previous month. The floor area of residential buildings was larger because in October construction of 24 two- and more dwelling buildings with 184 dwellings was planned, while in September construction of 16 such buildings with 63 dwellings was planned.
98% of all building permits were issued for new constructions and 2% for conversions. In comparison with September 2020, the number of building permits for new constructions increased by 18% and the planned floor area by 26%. In comparison with October 2019, the number of building permits for new constructions increased by 18% and the planned floor area by 43%.
More dwellings planned than in September
With building permits issued in October 2020, construction of 414 dwellings was planned, which is 44% more dwellings planned than in September 2020. In one-dwelling buildings 229 dwellings were planned, in September 223, while in two- and more dwelling buildings 184 dwellings were planned, in September 63. One dwelling was planned in a non-residential building. The average size of dwellings in one-dwelling buildings will be 170 m2 and in two- and more dwelling buildings 84 m2.
By issuing building permits in October 2020, 44% more new dwellings were planned than in September 2020 and the planned floor area of the dwellings was 27% larger than in the previous month. In comparison with October 2019, the number of new dwellings increased by 40% and the planned floor area of the dwellings by 23%.
Almost half of all dwellings will be built in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
In October 2020, most dwellings were planned in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (180 dwellings or 44% of all). Of these dwellings construction of 126 dwellings is planned in Ljubljana. Osrednjeslovenska is followed by Podravska with 65 dwellings (16% of all) and Savinjska with 63 dwellings (15% of all). In other statistical regions fewer dwellings were planned, the fewest in the Zasavska statistical region (2 dwellings).
