In the first quarter of 2020 some methodological changes were made. As in the previous years, weights were changed. They are based on the Structural Business Statistics data (SURS’s survey) on turnover in 2018 recalculated to prices from the last quarter of 2019. Also, lists of observed units and services were changed. The sample for 2020 thus contains 1,029 business entities and 4,976 prices of services.
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, SURS is faced with difficulties in data collection, checking and processing.
In the first quarter of 2020 the response rate in this survey was slightly lower than in previous quarters. Where the prices of services could not be collected, missing data were edited with imputation procedures. Consequently, data are slightly less reliable than usually.
