Construction costs for new residential buildings in the third quarter of 2019 higher than in the previous one
In the third quarter of 2019 construction costs for new residential buildings in Slovenia were higher than in the previous quarter and higher than in the third quarter of 2018.

After the 1.1% decrease in the previous quarter, this time construction costs went up. In the third quarter of 2019 they were 4.6% higher than in the second quarter of 2019 and 4.4% higher than in the third quarter of 2018. In the first three quarters of this year they were 3.4% higher than in the first three quarters of the previous year.
Construction material costs lower than in the previous quarter
Construction material costs were 0.5% lower than in the previous quarter (when they were the same as a quarter earlier). Compared to the third quarter of 2018 they decreased by 0.6%. In the first three quarters of this year they were 0.4% higher than in the first three quarters of the previous year.
Labour costs higher than in the previous quarter
After the 2.5% decrease in the previous quarter, this time labour costs went up. In the third quarter of 2019 they were 10.7% higher than in the second quarter of 2019. Compared to the third quarter of 2018 they increased by 10.4%. In the first three quarters of this year they were 7.2% higher than in the first three quarters of the previous year.
