The number of persons in paid employment in enterprises employing persons with disabilities up by 6%

In 2018 there were 143 enterprises in the Register of Enterprises Employing Persons with Disabilities. They were employing 12,204 persons, 48.5% of them disabled.

At the end of 2018 more enterprises employing persons with disabilities than a year earlier
At the end of 2018, 143 enterprises employing persons with disabilities were registered in the Register of Enterprises Employing Persons with Disabilities, of which 131 were operating in the private sector and only 12 in the public sector. The number of enterprises employing persons with disabilities increased by two compared to the previous year. Most enterprises employing persons with disabilities were registered in manufacturing (51%). Enterprises employing persons with disabilities were not operating in the following activities: mining and quarrying, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities, financial and insurance activities and public administration and defence, compulsory social security.

The number of persons in paid employment in enterprises employing persons with disabilities up by 6% 
At the end of 2018, 12,204 persons were employed in enterprises employing persons with disabilities in Slovenia, which is 6% more than in the previous year. There were 55% of men employed in these enterprises and 45% of women. 
21% of them were employed in the public sector and 79% in the private sector. The number of persons employed in the public sector decreased by 1% and in the private sector increased by 8% over the previous year. In the private sector 50% men and 50% women were employed, while in the public sector the ratio was 73% men vs. 27% women.
Those with upper secondary education prevailed (60.5% at the end of 2018) in enterprises employing persons with disabilities, while 24.8% had basic education or less and 14.7% had tertiary education.

About half of persons in paid employment in enterprises employing persons with disabilities are disabled
In enterprises employing persons with disabilities constantly around half of employees are disabled (48.5% at the end of 2018). This is true both for the public and private sectors (52% in the former and 48% in the latter). At the end of 2018, 34,349 disabled persons in employment were employed in Slovenia or 3.2% more than in the previous year. Enterprises employing persons with disabilities were employing 17.2% of all disabled persons or 5,919. 
The educational structure of disabled persons is lower than of all persons employed in enterprises employing persons with disabilities as 5.1% of disabled persons had tertiary education; most of the disabled persons had upper secondary education (61.9%), and 33% of them had basic education or less.

Average monthly gross earnings in enterprises employing persons with disabilities below the national average 
Average monthly gross earnings in enterprises employing persons with disabilities for 2018 amounted to EUR 1,299.55, while average monthly gross earnings in Slovenia in 2018 were EUR 1,681.55. 
Average monthly net earnings in enterprises employing persons with disabilities amounted to EUR 872.96, while average monthly net earnings in Slovenia in 2018 were EUR 1,092.74.
