Average earnings for June 2019 lower than earnings for May 2019
Average gross earnings for June 2019 amounted to EUR 1,717.78. Compared to gross earnings for the previous month they were lower in nominal terms by 0.6% and in real terms by 0.9%. Average net earnings for June 2019 amounted to EUR 1,107.96 and were lower than net earnings for the previous month, in nominal terms by 0.5% and in real terms by 0.8%.

Compared to earnings for the first half of 2018, average monthly earnings for the first half of 2019 increased: gross earnings in nominal terms by 4.3% and in real terms by 2.8%, and net earnings in nominal terms by 3.6% and in real terms by 2.1%.

Average earnings for June 2019 lower than earnings for May 2019 only in the private sector
Compared to earnings for May 2019, average net earnings for June 2019 increased in the public sector by 0.3%, while in the private sector they decreased by 1.0%.

Compared to earnings for the first half of 2018, average monthly net earnings for the first half of 2019 increased in both sectors, in the public sector by 4.5% and in the private sector by 3.3%.

Compared to earnings for May 2019, average net earnings for June 2019 increased the most in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (by 9.5%) and decreased the most in mining and quarrying (by 3.7%).

Compared to earnings for the first half of 2018, average monthly net earnings for the first half of 2019 were higher in all activities, except in mining and quarrying where they were lower by 3.6%. Average monthly net earnings for the first half of 2019 were the highest in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (EUR 1,594.14).

Compared to earnings for the first half of 2018, average monthly earnings of persons employed by legal persons for the first half of 2019 increased the most in Jugovzhodna Slovenija (gross earnings by 5.4% and net earnings by 4.5%). Nevertheless, the highest average monthly earnings for the first half of 2019 had persons employed by legal persons in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (EUR 1,914.43 gross or EUR 1,215.92 net).
