The value of industrial production in March 2019 lower at the monthly level for the second consecutive month
In March 2019 the value of industrial production again decreased at the monthly level, by 0.6% compared to February 2019. It increased by 2.8% compared to March 2018.
The value of industrial production in the first quarter of 2019 grew by 4.3% over the first quarter of 2018. Growth in the same period was also recorded in mining and quarrying and in manufacturing (by 13.8% and 4.7%, respectively), while in electricity, gas and steam and supply a decline was recorded (by 0.7%).

In March 2019 turnover in industry was lower at the monthly level by 1.9%. At the annual level, it was higher by 1.0%. At the monthly level, turnover was lower in both the domestic and non-domestic market (by 2.9% and 0.7%, respectively).
Turnover of industrial enterprises in the first quarter of 2019 grew by 3.4% over the first quarter of 2018. It also increased in all main industrial groupings. The largest increase was recorded in consumer goods industries (by 5.1%).
This time the total value of stocks of finished and unfinished production increased at the monthly level (by 0.8%). In the first quarter of 2019 it increased by 5.2% compared to the same period of 2018, as well as in mining and quarrying and in manufacturing (by 11.0% and 5.1%, respectively).
