In spite of the positive growth rate in the total number of hours worked, in the 1st quarter of 2019 a person in paid employment in Slovenia worked on average fewer hours than in the 1st quarter of 2018, i.e. a monthly average of 133 hours or 3 hours less than in the same period of 2018. The main reason for this was fewer working days.

As in the previous quarter, in the 1st quarter of 2019, too, the largest number of hours was worked by persons employed in human health and social work activities; on average 142 hours per month or 9 hours more than the national average.
