The value of industrial production in November 2018 lower than in October 2018
In November 2018 the value of industrial production was 0.2% lower than in October 2018 and 2.5% higher than in November 2017.
The value of industrial production increased by 0.9% in electricity, gas and main supply and stayed at the same level in manufacturing. In mining and quarrying the value of industrial production, mostly due to the value of stocks, decreased by 31.3%.
In November 2018 the value of industrial production was higher in the long term, i.e. compared to the average of 2015. The largest long-term increase was recorded in high-technology manufacturing (by 37.6%).
Turnover and the value of stocks of industrial products in November 2018 also lower than in October 2018
Turnover in industry in November 2018 was 0.3% lower at the monthly level and 1.4% higher at the annual level.
At the monthly level turnover increased by 0.9% in mining and quarrying and decreased by 1.0% in manufacturing. As regards main industrial groupings turnover in consumer goods industries stayed at the same level, while it decreased in intermediate goods industries and capital goods industries (by 0.1% and 2.5%, respectively).
The value of stocks of finished and unfinished production was also 0.3% lower compared to October 2018 and 8.6% higher compared to November 2017.
At the monthly level the value of stocks stayed the same in manufacturing, while it decreased by 40.5% in mining and quarrying.
