4% fewer goods carried in the 2nd quarter of 2018 than in the 2nd quarter of 2017

In the 2nd quarter of 2018 Slovenian goods vehicles carried 13% fewer goods in national transport and 11% more in international transport than in the 2nd quarter of 2017. In the same comparison legal and natural persons performed 4% fewer tonne-kilometres.

In the 2nd quarter of 2018 fewer goods carried, but more tonne-kilometres performed than in the same period in 2017

In the 2nd quarter of 2018 road goods motor vehicles registered in Slovenia carried 21.6 million tonnes of goods, performed 5.8 billion tonne-kilometres and travelled 351.7 million kilometres by loaded vehicles. In comparison with the 2nd quarter of 2017, this is 4% fewer goods carried, 10% more tonne-kilometres performed and 5% more kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles.

In national and international transport fewer goods carried than in the same period of the previous year

In national transport 12.4 million tonnes of goods were carried, 582.0 million tonne-kilometres were performed and 53.8 million kilometres with loaded vehicles were travelled. Compared to the 2nd quarter of 2017, this is 13% fewer goods carried, 2% more tonne-kilometres performed and 6% fewer kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles.

In international transport 9.2 million tonnes of goods were carried, 5.2 billion tonne-kilometres were performed and 297.8 million kilometres with loaded vehicles were travelled. In comparison with the same period of the previous year, in the 2nd quarter of 2018 11% more goods were carried, 11% more tonne-kilometres were performed and 7% more kilometres were travelled by loaded vehicles.

Legal and natural persons carried fewer goods than in the previous year

In the 2nd quarter of 2018 legal persons carried 15.2 million tonnes of goods or nearly three thirds of all goods and performed 4.4 billion or 76% of all tonne-kilometres; natural persons carried 6.4 million tonnes of goods or 30% of all goods and performed 1.4 billion or 24% of all tonne-kilometres. In comparison with the 2st quarter of 2017, legal persons carried 4% fewer goods and performed 12% more tonne-kilometres. In the same comparison, natural persons carried 4% fewer goods and performed 5% more tonne-kilometres.
