The total floor area of planned buildings larger than in June

The total floor area of all planned buildings was a little more than 138,000 m², which is 2% more than was planned in June. The planned floor area of residential buildings was 2% smaller and of non-residential buildings 5% larger than in June.
 
97% of all building permits were issued for new constructions and 3% for conversions. In comparison with June 2018, the number of building permits for new constructions decreased by 10% and the planned floor area by 1%.

Fewer dwellings planned than in June 

By issuing final building permits, in July 2018 construction of 248 dwellings was planned, which is 4% fewer than in June 2018. Almost all dwellings were planned in residential buildings; only one was planned in non-residential buildings. 7% fewer dwellings were planned in one-dwelling buildings and 10% more in two- and more dwelling buildings than in June.
 
By issuing building permits in July 2018, 4% fewer new dwellings were planned than in June 2018 and the planned floor area of the dwellings will remain approximately the same as in the previous month.

Most dwellings to be built in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region

In July 2018, 53 dwellings were planned in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region, which is 21% of all dwellings planned in the country. Osrednjeslovenska was followed by Jugovzhodna Slovenija with 36 dwellings planned (15% of all) and Podravska statistical region with 32 dwellings planned (13% of all). In other statistical regions fewer dwellings were planned, the fewest in the Koroška nad Obalno-kraška statistical regions, where 3 dwellings were planned in each.
