In January 2018 industrial activity, turnover in industry and the value of stocks increased compared to January 2017.
The value of industrial production in January 2018 higher at the annual level
Industrial activity in January 2018 increased by 12.7% at the annual level, but decreased by 1.2% at the monthly level. At the annual level industrial activity increased in manufacturing (by 14.2%) and decreased in mining and quarrying and in electricity, gas and steam supply (by 0.8% and 0.7%, respectively).
In January 2018 the value of industrial production was 22.5% higher than the average of 2015. In this comparison the largest increase was recorded in capital goods industries, by 49.8%.
In January 2018 turnover in industry higher at the annual level
In January 2018 turnover was 15.3% higher compared to January 2017 and 0.1% lower compared to December 2017. Compared to January 2017 industrial enterprises recorded the greatest growth of turnover in capital goods industries (by 35.5%).
In January 2018 the value of stocks of industrial products higher than in the previous month
In January 2018 the value of stocks of finished and unfinished production increased by 0.3% at the monthly level. In manufacturing it increased by 0.1%, and in mining and quarrying by 27.8%.
At the annual level the value of stocks of industrial products increased by 1.2% and compared to the 2015 average by 17.5%.
