Average earnings for December 2017 1.9% lower than earnings for November 2017
Average gross earnings for December 2017 amounted to EUR 1,723.13. Compared to earnings for November 2017 they were 1.9% lower in both nominal and real terms. Average monthly gross earnings for 2017 were higher than earnings for 2016; in nominal terms by 2.7%, in real terms by 1.3%.
Average earnings for December 2017 lower than earnings for November 2017 mostly due to the lower share of extra payments
Average earnings for December 2017 amounted to EUR 1,723.13 gross and EUR 1,129.76 net. Compared to earnings for November 2017 they were lower in nominal and in real terms by 1.9%, mostly due to lower share of extra payments (13th month payments and Christmas bonuses).
Average monthly gross earnings for 2017 amounted to EUR 1,626.95. Compared to earnings for 2016 they were higher in nominal terms by 2.7% and in real terms by 1.3%. Average monthly net earnings for 2017 amounted to EUR 1,062.00. Compared to earnings for 2016 they were higher in nominal terms by 3.1% and in real terms by 1.7%.
Average monthly earnings for 2017 higher than earnings for 2016 in both sectors, public and private
Compared to earnings for November 2017, average net earnings for December 2017 were lower in the private sector by 4.1%, while in the public sector they were higher by 2.0% (in institutional sector general government they were higher by 1.4%).
For 2017, average monthly net earnings in the public sector amounted to EUR 1,222.30 and in the private sector to EUR 983.26. In comparison with earnings for 2016 they were higher in both sectors, in the public sector by 3.1% and in the private sector by 3.4%.
The highest average monthly earnings in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply
On average the highest monthly net earnings for 2017 were paid in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply; they amounted to EUR 1,541.52. Compared to earnings for 2016, average monthly net earnings for 2017 increased in all activities, the most in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (by 5.4%).
Average monthly earnings for 2017 higher than earnings for 2016 in all statistical regions
Compared to earnings for 2016, average monthly net earnings for 2017 increased in all statistical regions, the most in Zasavska, Posavska and Gorenjska (in each by 3.4%). On average the highest monthly net earnings for 2017 were received by persons employed in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (EUR 1,152.68 or 8.5% higher than the national average).
