In 2017 the output prices increased by 2.2%

In 2017 the output prices increased by 2.2%. In this year prices went up the most in manufacture of basic metals (by 8.5%). On the other hand, prices decreased the most in water collection, treatment and supply (by 5.9%).

The output prices 2.2% higher than in 2016

In 2017 the output prices increased by 2.2% (in 2016 they increased by 0.5%); on the non-domestic market they went up by 2.6% and on the domestic market by 1.8%.

The prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the non-euro area countries increased by 3.6% and the prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the euro area countries by 2.3%.

Among the groups of activities showing the dynamics of prices by end-use of products, in 2017 intermediate goods prices increased by 4.0%, consumer goods prices by 1.8% and capital goods prices by 0.1%. On the other hand, energy prices decreased (by 2.3%).

In December 2017 the output prices 0.2% higher at the monthly level

Compared to November 2017, in December 2017 the output prices were 0.2% higher. The prices of exported products went up by 0.2% and the prices of manufactured goods sold on the domestic market by 0.1%.

Both the prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the euro area countries and the prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the non-euro area countries increased (by 0.3% and 0.1%, respectively).

As regards the groups of activities showing the dynamics of prices by end-use, in December 2017 the prices increased in all groups. Energy prices increased the most, by 0.5%. Intermediate goods prices and capital goods prices increased by 0.2% and consumer goods prices by 0.1%.

Compared to the previous month, output prices increased the most in manufacture of coke and petroleum products (by 2.5%) and in manufacture of computer and optical products (by 1.0%). On the other hand, prices decreased the most in manufacture of wearing apparel (by 2.2%).
