Construction costs for new residential buildings in the second quarter of 2017 lower than in the previous one
In the second quarter of 2017 construction costs for new residential buildings in Slovenia were lower than in the previous quarter and higher than in the second quarter of 2016.

As usual, in the second quarter of the year construction costs for new residential buildings were lower than in the first quarter of the year. This time they decreased by 2.4%. Construction costs were 3.7% higher than in the second quarter of 2016 and 2.9% higher than the 2010 average. In the first half of this year they were 4.3% higher than in the first half of the previous year.
Construction material costs higher than in the previous quarter
Construction material costs were increasing for five consecutive quarters, this time they increased by 0.9%. Compared to the second quarter of 2016 they increased by 3.9% and compared to the 2010 average they were 9.0% higher. In the first half of this year they were 3.6% higher than in the first half of the previous year.
Labour costs in the second quarter of 2017 lower than in the previous quarter
Labour costs, which were increasing for three consecutive quarters, this time decreased by 6.5% compared to the previous quarter. Compared to the second quarter of 2016 they increased by 3.8%, but compared to the 2010 average they were 4.1% lower. In the first half of this year they were 5.4% higher than in the first half of the previous year.
