Construction costs for new residential buildings in the first quarter of 2017 higher than in the previous one

In the first quarter of 2017 construction costs for new residential buildings in Slovenia were higher than in the previous quarter and higher than in the first quarter of 2016.

Construction costs for new residential buildings in the first quarter of 2017 higher than in the previous quarter 

Construction costs in the first quarter of 2017 were 1.3% higher than in the previous quarter. They were 4.8% higher than in the first quarter of 2016 and 5.5% higher than the 2010 average.

Construction material costs
higher than in the previous quarter

Construction material costs increased over the previous quarter for the fourth time in a row, this time by 1.7%. Compared to the first quarter of 2016 they increased by 3.4% and compared to the 2010 average by 8.0%. 

Labour costs in the first quarter of 2017 higher than in the previous quarter 

Labour costs increased over the previous quarter for the third time in a row, this time by 0.8%. Compared to the first quarter of 2016 they increased by 6.9% and compared to the 2010 average by 2.6%.
