In the first nine months of 2016 more building permits issued than in the first nine months of 2015

Between January and September 2016, 19% more permits were issued for buildings and 11% fewer dwellings were planed than in the same period of 2015.

In September more building permits issued in Slovenia than in August

In September 36% more building permits were issued in Slovenia than in August; 39% more for residential buildings and 34% more for non-residential buildings. Among building permits issued for residential buildings, 97% were issued for one-dwelling buildings and 3% for two- and more dwelling buildings. Among building permits issued for non-residential buildings, most building permits were issued for other non-residential buildings, where non-complex buildings are mostly classified.

In the first nine months 2016, 19% more permits were issued for buildings and 11% fewer dwellings were planed than in the same period of 2015. For the construction of residential buildings 8% fewer building permits were issued, while for the construction of non-residential buildings 44% more building permits were issued. Between January and September 2016, 73% building permits for non-complex buildings were issued among building permits for non-residential buildings, while in the same period of 2015 there were 37% such building permits issued.

In September 2016, 97% of building permits were issued for new constructions and 3% for conversions. In comparison with August, the number of building permits for new constructions increased by 34% and the planned floor area by 49%.

More dwellings planned than in August

By issuing building permits, in September 2016 construction of 252 dwellings was planned, which is 34% more than in August. Most of the dwellings were planned in one-dwelling buildings, 18 dwellings were planned in two- and more dwelling buildings and 4 dwellings were planned in non-residential buildings. The average size of dwellings in one-dwelling buildings will be 156 m2 and in two- and more dwelling buildings 106 m2.

By issuing building permits in September 2016, 29% more newly built dwellings were planned than in August 2016 and the planned floor area of these dwellings will be 29% bigger.

Most dwellings to be built in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region

In September 2016 most dwellings were planned in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (57 dwellings or 23% of all). The Osrednjeslovenska statistical region is followed by the Podravska statistical region (46 dwellings or 18% of all) and the Savinjska statistical region (31 dwellings or 12% of all). In other statistical regions fewer dwellings were planned, the fewest in the Zasavska statistical region (4 dwellings).
