Average monthly gross earnings for December 2015 5.0% lower than earnings for November 2015
Average monthly gross earnings for December 2015 were lower due to lower extra payments; they amounted to EUR 1,594.93 and net to EUR 1,035.58. Average monthly earnings for 2015 in comparison with earnings for 2014 increased in both nominal and real terms.
Average monthly earnings for 2015 slightly higher than earnings for 2014
Average monthly gross earnings for December 2015 amounted to EUR 1,594.93; compared to earnings for November 2015 they were lower in both nominal and real terms (by 5.0% and 4.6%, respectively). Average monthly net earnings for December 2015 amounted to EUR 1,035.58; compared to earnings for November 2015 they too were lower both in nominal and real terms (by 4.3% and 3.9%, respectively).
Compared to November 2015, average monthly earnings for December 2015 decreased mostly due to lower extra payments (13th month payments and Christmas bonuses). The majority of these payments were paid with earnings for November.
Average monthly gross earnings for 2015 amounted to EUR 1,555.89 and net to EUR 1,013.23. Compared to average monthly earnings for 2014 they were higher; gross by 0.7% in nominal terms and by 1.2% in real terms and net by 0.4% in nominal terms and by 0.9% in real terms.
Average monthly net earnings for 2015 slightly higher in both sectors, public and private
Compared to November 2015, average monthly net earnings for December 2015 decreased in the public sector by 0.2% and in the private sector by 6.8%. In comparison with December 2014 they were higher in both sectors; in the public sector by 2.6% and in the private sector by 0.7%.
For 2015, average monthly net earnings in the public sector amounted to EUR 1,161.88 and in the private sector to EUR 935.78. In comparison with 2014, average monthly net earnings for 2015 were higher in the public sector by 0.8% and in the private sector by 0.3%.
In comparison with 2014, average monthly net earnings for 2015 increased the most in financial and insurance activities and in manufacturing
In December 2015 the highest average monthly net earnings were paid in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (EUR 1,449.39), followed by financial and insurance activities (EUR 1,421.55) and information and communication activities (EUR 1,371.96). On the other hand, the lowest average monthly net earnings were paid in administrative and support service activities (EUR 704.57).
Compared to 2014, average monthly net earnings for 2015 increased the most in financial and insurance activities and in manufacturing (by 1.8%), followed by public administration and defence, compulsory social security (by 1.6%) and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (by 1.2%); the greatest decrease was recorded in mining and quarrying (by 5.8%). The highest average monthly net earnings were received by persons employed in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (EUR 1,438.10), and the lowest by persons employed in administrative and support service activities (EUR 704.55).
Average monthly net earnings for 2015 slightly lower than in the previous year only in the Zasavska statistical region
The highest monthly net earnings for 2015 were paid in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region; they amounted to EUR 1,099.23. Close to the national average were earnings in Jugovzhodna Slovenija and in the Gorenjska statistical region; a person in paid employment earned in the former EUR 1,022.58 net and in the latter EUR 1,010.83 net. The lowest average monthly net earnings for 2015 were paid in the Zasavska statistical region (EUR 914.36). Compared to 2014, average monthly net earnings for 2015 were higher in all statistical regions, except in Zasavska, where they were 2.1% lower.
