The value of exports to EU Member States decreased, the value of exports to EU non-member countries increased compared to December 2014

EU Member States are still the most important markets for Slovenia. In 2015 Slovenia’s exports to EU Member States represented 76.8% of total exports, while imports from EU Member States represented 80.6% of total imports. In December 2015 Slovenia exported to EU Member States 0.9% less and imported from them 9.7% more than in December 2014. The value of trade with EU Member States in December 2015 amounted to EUR 1,331.0 million for exports and EUR 1,546.9 million for imports. Compared to other months in 2015, December's exports to EU Member States are eleventh, while imports are eighth.

The value of goods Slovenia exported to EU non-member countries in December 2015 was 11.7% higher than in December 2014. The reason for the increase is one-time high-value export of goods. For this reason, December's exports to mentioned countries were the second highest in 2015 (amounting to EUR 518.6 million). The value of goods Slovenia imported from EU non-member countries was 0.1% higher. Imports from the mentioned countries amounted to EUR 366.7 million (compared to other months in 2015, December's imports are seventh).
