In 2014, gross investment for environmental protection was 7.2% higher and current expenditure for environmental protection 11.3% higher than in 2013.
8.1% of gross investment for environmental protection
In 2014, gross investment for environmental protection amounted to EUR 406 million or 7.2% more than in 2013. Gross investment for environmental protection represented 8.1% of the total gross investment (for new fixed assets in enterprises, companies and organisations), which amounted to EUR 4,990 million in 2014.
The highest share of investment for protection of wastewater management
The highest share in the structure of gross investment for environmental protection in 2014 was that of protection of wastewater, namely almost 41.2% (EUR 167 million).
The highest share of current expenditure for waste management
In 2014, current expenditure for environmental protection amounted to EUR 496 million or 11.3% more than in 2013. The highest share in the structure of current expenditure for environmental protection for 2014 was that of current expenditure for waste management, namely almost 64.6% (EUR 320 million).
The highest share of investments in integrated technologies
In 2014, in the structure of gross investment for environmental protection in industry (sections of activity B, C, D) the share of end-of-pipe investment for environmental protection was 47.9% and the share of investment in integrated technologies was over 52.1%.
The highest gross investment in the Savinjska statistical region, the highest current expenditure in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
The regional structure of gross investment for environmental protection shows that the highest share of gross investment was contributed by the Savinjska statistical region (35.8%), followed by Osrednjeslovenska (28.9%) and Gorenjska (8.0%) statistical regions. The highest share of current expenditure for environmental protection was contributed by the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (30.2%), followed by Podravska (22.2%) and Savinjska (13.7%) statistical regions.
