Agricultural input prices slightly lower
Agricultural input prices decreased at the monthly level and increased at the annual level. Compared to September 2025, the largest drop was recorded in the subgroup other goods and services.
Prices slightly lower at the monthly level …
Agricultural inputs were on average 0.3% cheaper than in the previous month. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture (input 1) decreased by 0.4%, while the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment (input 2) slightly increased (by 0.1%).
In the first group (input 1), the prices went down in the following subgroups: other goods and services (by 2.2%), fertilizers (by 1.7%) and animal feedingstuffs (by 0.5%).
In the second group (input 2), the prices of materials did not change, while the prices of buildings were higher on average by 0.2%.
… but higher year-on-year
Agricultural inputs were 2.1% more expensive than a year earlier. The prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture were higher on average by 2.4% and the prices of the goods and services contributing to agricultural investment by 1.6%.
Year-on-year, in the first group (input 1) the prices of fertilisers increased the most (by 8.8%) and in the second group (input 2) the prices of materials (by 1.7%).
