Road goods vehicles carried almost the same amount of goods
In the 2nd quarter of 2025, road goods motor vehicles carried 27.2 million tonnes of goods, 1% more than in the same period the year before. They performed 5.1 billion tonne-kilometres, 13% fewer than in the 2nd quarter of 2024.
Almost the same amount of goods carried
In the 2nd quarter of 2025, goods motor vehicles registered in Slovenia:
• carried 27.2 million tonnes of goods,
• performed 5.1 billion tonne-kilometres, and
• travelled 329.3 million kilometres by loaded vehicles.
Compared to the same period a year earlier, 1% more goods were carried, 13% fewer tonne-kilometres were performed and 14% fewer kilometres were travelled loaded.
More goods carried in national transport
In the observed quarter, about two thirds (67%) of total goods were carried in national transport. 679.9 million tonne-kilometres were performed and 57.9 million kilometres were travelled by loaded vehicles. Compared to the same quarter a year earlier, 3% more goods were carried.
In international transport, 9.0 million tonnes of goods were carried, 4.4 billion tonne-kilometres were performed and 271.4 million kilometres were travelled by loaded vehicles. In comparison with the same quarter of 2024, 4% fewer goods were carried.
Legal persons carried fewer goods
Legal persons carried 21.2 million tonnes or 78% of all goods and performed 4.3 billion or 85% of all tonne-kilometres. In comparison with the same period of the previous year, legal persons carried 6% fewer goods and natural persons almost a third (32%) more.
Legal persons travelled 279 million kilometres by loaded vehicles and natural persons 51 million kilometres.
