Average earnings lower than earnings for July
Average gross earnings for August were in nominal and in real terms 1.1% lower than earnings for July.

Average gross earnings for August 2025 amounted to EUR 2,489.76. Compared to earnings for July, they were lower in nominal and in real terms by 1.1%. Average net earnings amounted to EUR 1,562.12 and were 1.0% lower than earnings for July.
On the other hand, compared to earnings for August of the previous year, average earnings went up – gross earnings in nominal terms by 5.8% (and in real terms by 2.7%), and net earnings in nominal terms by 4.5% (and in real terms by 1.5%).
Earnings lower in both sectors
Average gross earnings were lower than earnings for July in both sectors; in the private sector by 1.5% and in the public sector by 0.4% (in the institutional sector general government they were about the same as earnings for July).
The highest in financial and insurance activities and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply
On average, the highest earnings for August were paid in financial and insurance activities (EUR 3,416.80 gross and EUR 2,065.03 net), and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (EUR 3,411.85 gross and EUR 2,075.09 net), and the lowest in administrative and support service activities (EUR 1,821.34 gross and EUR 1,177.73 net).
Higher than the national average only in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region
At the level of statistical regions, average gross earnings for August were the highest in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (only in this region they were higher than the national average, i.e. by 9.7%; they amounted to EUR 2,731.10), and the lowest in the Primorsko-notranjska statistical region (EUR 2,164.52 or 13.1% less than the national average).
